	Buyers Guide The Syracuse Builders Exchange provides members, project owners and the construction industry with a directory and buyers guide containing information and services helpful to professionals in construction industry-related businesses. 	Golf Outing  The Builders Exchange 2013 Golf Tournament was held on Monday, May 20th at Drumlins Golf & Country Club. This year’s tournament again was hosted at one venue on Drumlin’s East and West Courses. Golf, lunch, dinner and a cocktail reception was  held at Drumlins, with a shotgun start for all 244 golfers at 12:30 PM sharp. Thank you to all our sponsors!
	Clambake The Syracuse Builders Exchange clambake, scheduled for the third Wednesday each September at Hinerwadel’s Grove, is the largest construction industry-related social function in the state, with nearly 4,000 people attending. An extensive menu of raw/steamed clams, chicken, potatoes, salads, corn-on-the-cob, carved beef, hamburgers, sausage, hot dogs, pork and much more, a variety of beverages, disc jockey; door prizes, convenient venue and great networking opportunities make this event an annual favorite for our members.

	Night at the Crunch  The Syracuse Crunch and SBE will team annually each January to offer members the opportunity to purchase tickets to a hockey game at discounted prices not available to the general public.  Individual game tickets for members may be purchased for as low as $12!  Please contact Todd Cross at the Syracuse Crunch at tcross@syracusecrunch.com or call (315) 473-4444 x 125.
	Craftsmanship Awards  To recognize exceptional craftsmanship and the display of interest and ingenuity in order to encourage the highest grade of workmanship.  The awards dinner is held each June.  Nominations may be made by any Syracuse Builders Exchange member by submission of the designated form with snapshots or video.  For further information about the Craftsmanship Awards, contact Sandy Church at (315) 437-9936 x 10.  Cancelled for 2013.
	Syracuse Construction Career Days   The Syracuse Builders Exchange and a local committee of construction industry leaders and educators team up each fall at the Youth Building at the New York State Fairgrounds for the Syracuse Construction Career Day event. Construction Career Day is designed to introduce local high school students to the vast career opportunities and unlimited potential for advancement within the Central New York construction industry. The event is primarily about Youth, Industry & Partnership, and is expected to draw approximately 500 11th and 12th grade students from area high schools. The event will provide students with hands-on experiences operating construction-related heavy equipment and machinery, along with skilled trades’ exhibits and demonstrations. In addition, there will be vendor booths available for construction industry employers, union and trade organizations which offer training and apprenticeship programs, colleges and universities, professional design firms, NYS Department of Transportation, equipment sales companies, and much more.
