Syracuse Construction Career Days October 2, 2024
The Syracuse Builders Exchange and a local committee of construction industry leaders and educators team up each fall for the Syracuse Construction Career Day event.
Construction Career Day is designed to introduce local high school students to the vast career opportunities and unlimited potential for advancement within the Central New York construction industry. The event is primarily about Youth, Industry & Partnership, and draws more than 500 students from area high schools each year.
The event provides students with hands-on experiences operating construction-related heavy equipment and machinery, along with skilled trades’ exhibits and demonstrations. In addition, there are vendor booths available for construction industry employers, union and trade organizations which offer training and apprenticeship programs, colleges and universities, professional design firms, NYS Department of Transportation, equipment sales companies, and much more.
