Workforce Development Partnership
Syracuse Builders Exchange has partnered with the Syracuse City School District’s (“SCSD”) Career and Technical Education program (“CTE”) in an effort to support their mission of developing students during their high school years to become engaged in the commercial construction industry. The linked PDF below will detail the need for such a partnership, why the SCSD CTE program provides the most meaningful impact and how our member contractors can participate in the educational process. This partnership relies heavily on not only the curriculum being delivered to these students via the Construction Technology program, but the engagement of construction industry contractors providing these students with various learning opportunities.
Please retain this information as it is my sincere hope, and that of SCSD Superintendent Jamie Alecia, that our member firms will participate in providing these career-driven student shadowing and internship opportunities. Please feel free to contact the CTE program educators listed in this link to inquire about how you and/or your company may support the SCSD CTE program.
Yours truly,
Earl R. Hall
Executive Director
